How to break the poor posture and stress cycle... How to break the poor posture and stress cycle... .
Step 1. Have a laugh and be silly. Itโ€™s good for the mind and soul. .
Step 2 : Work on maintaining good upright posture. .
Studies have shown that maintaining a upright posture increases positivity, reduces negative mood,
Higher self esteem and can help you better deal with stress. .
So whatโ€™s with this picture of me holding a balloon ? Iโ€™m being silly and holding an upright posture ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
.
When it comes to keeping an upright posture we like to give the analogy of having a balloon on string attached to the front of your chest.
The balloon rises up elongating your upper body, pulling your shoulders back and your chest forward. .
Try it !!

While itโ€™s very important to acknowledge why we While itโ€™s very important to acknowledge why we are feeling stressed; itโ€™s also very important to find ways to help deal with emotional stress. .
Find your โ€œStress Reliever โ€œ, the thing you can turn too when your mind needs a change. .
This could be going for a walk, gardening, cooking, mindfulness, painting or sitting down to journal, write goals.
Colouring books for adults are also a thing and I can report they are very relaxing โ˜บ๏ธ
.
Whatever works for you just be sure to give your mind a break from stress.
And keep reminding yourself, Your doing a great job ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
Sustained positive emotions (such as love & apprec Sustained positive emotions (such as love & appreciation)...
have been demonstrated to have a positive healing impact on your
physical body.Heal your body with your thoughts. Bla bla bla....Heard ๐Ÿ‘‚ it all before?
Well l was reading a fascinating article by Dr. Rollin McCarty, PhD , director of research at the HeartMath Institute, in a recent publication of โ€˜Pathways to Family Wellnessโ€™. If you havenโ€™t heard of the HeartMath Institute (HMI) and you love learning more about what DRIVES your health and healing, well then check them out.
We are approaching an interesting ๐Ÿง time. More talk about the whole mind-body connection. More talk about love ๐Ÿ’• and higher consciousness.
I donโ€™t know ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ about you, but some of the stuff coming out of the mouths ๐Ÿ‘„ of some young folk, including my adult children, is quite profound.
More aware of this multidimensional, vast and interconnected nature of our existence as human beings. My children teach me, and have so since babies ๐Ÿ‘ถ, that we are human beings not human doings.Anyway, l shall get to on with my point.Thinking positive thoughts helps you be healthier. So, the HMI have found that the heart ๐Ÿ’“ has nerve cells, (neurones) and that signals from the heart can influence the brain ๐Ÿง  (in our head). The heartโ€™s measurable electromagnetic field is 60 times greater than that of the brain ๐Ÿง . Their research has demonstrated that positive emotions (eg love, gratitude etc) increase the bodyโ€™s efficiency and harmony.
- increase parasympathetic activity (rest, digest and repair) This is the opposite to flight/fright or stress response most are stuck in.
- increase heart-brain synchronisation - increase blood ๐Ÿฉธ vessel resonance
So our thoughts ๐Ÿ’ญ and emotions ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜†have a positive impact on our physiology, our ๐Ÿ’– heart, our brain ๐Ÿง  and our HEALTH.Start with an affirmation, start with writing โœ๏ธ down 3 things you are grateful for. Smile more, even at yourself.
Try skipping even!Start.Your beautiful thoughts will influence those in your vicinity- a TRUE INFLUENCER!Your physical body will love you right back! And your BACK will love you too! Couldnโ€™t resist. ๐Ÿ˜‚Lisa

Classics! Not me, the car! (My husband would disa Classics!
Not me, the car! (My husband would disagree here)
This car is a 98 year old Rolls Royce.
My question is.....
So why is this car still going?
We actually ended up sitting next to the couple who owned this car. They lived in the UK for 48 years and are now in their 80โ€™s!
So now 2 questions...
What keeps this car going and what keeps this couple together after 60 years of marriage?Still travelling around, still having dinners out together. And they were all dressed up. Delightful, bubbly couple. Laughing and enjoying life. What keeps these classics going?Values.

Pleasure.
(The younger models are too expensive to run ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ says my husband ๐Ÿ˜‚- good to hear, so l mustnโ€™t be as high maintenance then!) STAYING HEALTHY is the same. If requires one to firstly value health and then it requires;Work.
Attention.
Commitment.
Passion.
Dedication.
Just like a classic car ๐Ÿš—. Then you reap the benefits, hang around longer to enjoy more of life.
I donโ€™t know about you, but l value my health and like the 98 year old Rolls, l want to be going strong ๐Ÿ’ช at 98.Lisa

BUSTING STRESS. Breath from the belly more, laugh BUSTING STRESS.
Breath from the belly more, laugh ๐Ÿ˜† more and put some of your favourite music ๐ŸŽต on.
.
Our latest VLOG on our IGTV channel, l chat to Frank La Macchia, holistic counsellor, meditation teacher and musician. .
He gives us 3 simple suggestions to help with STRESS relief.Music
Laughter
Breathe Meditation ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ .
Getting little reminders to be kind to yourself and practicing these simple STRESS BUSTERS helps to get to reduce the day to day build up of stress.
.
Often when we are under prolonged stress, we may not realise that our physiology is under this stress. โ€œNot stressed!โ€ they say. What can sustained stress look ๐Ÿ‘€ like? Some or all of the following may be seen...
- sensitive to light ๐Ÿ’ก - sensitive to sound (hate shopping ๐Ÿ›’ centres or noisy cafes)
- digestive issues (IBD, bloating)
- hormone issues (trouble conceiving)
- generalised inflammation, joint pain
- persistent tight shoulders/ pectoral muscles/calves
.
Now this doesnโ€™t mean the above will be all sorted out by laughing ๐Ÿ˜† more, or putting on some music. .
They may need medical investigation, however, reducing the stress load will help to get one out of sympathetic overload (flight/fright response), and towards the parasympathetic mode. This is the healing, rest and digest mode.Give it a go!
