Sleep well on holidays with these 3 top tips
Helping you get a Great Night’s Sleep
It’s the time of the year for a break and for a lot of people this year that means travel.
We all know that holidays mean a change in routine and this is often the case when it comes to bedtime. We all know how important it is to sleep well on holidays, so in this blog we share 3 top tips for you to sleep well.
Keep in mind these 3 tips when it comes to travelling:
- Take your own pillow away with you. Sleeping on different pillows that aren’t supportive for your neck are a big contributing factor to waking up with a stiff & sore neck. If you can’t fit your regular pillow in on your travels it might be a good idea to invest in a good contoured travel pillow and take out the this number one factor in not sleeping well.2
- Try to keep a regular sleep routine. There will be late nights of course when your on holidays having fun but try to get your 7-8 hours of sleep. As difficult as this may seem, aim to have an early night after a late night. Try to switch off and avoid technology before bed, especially work emails, after all you’re meant to be having a break from work!
- Move your body daily. Take a daily walk/run or do a 20 minute workout and drink plenty of water! Moving your body regularly and drinking plenty of water helps you sleep better and also wake up more refreshed. If you have children then doing activities such as kicking a ball, playing tennis or bike riding are a great way to get some exercise with the family. It’s important to make it fun.
