What is Good Posture?
When your posture is less than optimal, it disrupts the way your spine handles everyday stresses, creating uneven strain on your joints, bones, muscles, and soft tissues. This can interfere with spinal movement and biomechanics, leading to both immediate and long-term challenges.
Short-term effects: Poor posture may result in stiffness, discomfort, neck and back tension, headaches, shoulder strain, reduced mobility, and fatigue.
Long-term effects: Over time, postural imbalances can contribute to chronic issues such as joint dysfunction, muscle imbalances, abnormal wear on the spine (osteo-arthritis), and uneven postural stress will eventually lead to structure of the spine to adapt unfavorably.
