Day 1 of the PROS Posture Month

What posture are you spending most of the day in?

Is it;
– sleep
– sitting
– carrying
– standing

How balanced is this posture? Are you breaking it up, getting up often or alternating sitting and standing at the desk?

Unfortunately we notice our posture more when we are in pain.  The common areas that poor posture can be translated into pain are the neck, shoulders and low back.

Does this sound like you?

Let’s start with awareness on day 1 pros posture month. We aim to encourage you to take a birds eye view of how you spend your day. What posture are you mainly in and how is your posture during down times? If you are not aware of how you are sitting, standing and lying down then trying to help improve your  posture is impossible.

What does the P.R.O.S in P.R.O.S Posture Month stand for?

Purposeful – increase awareness around how you sit, stand and lay down. This is exactly where we are starting at in this blog.

Recognise – areas that you need to improve on. Often we see people are not aware of their posture and chronic back issues can be linked to them.

Optimal – improve how you sit, stand and lay down. It takes practice to improve these postures. One day at a time.

Soooooo…… we can all be POSTURE PROS

Strength & stability – exercises and stretches coming your way. Over the course of the month we will share tips to help improve strength and flexibility of postural muscles.
